Hong Kong is a busy place. The city can be overwhelming; it can be draining. Now is the time for a weekend of re-wilding in nature and getting reacquainted with your busy, overwhelmed self on an island with a healing group of women. The vision to create a container dedicated to exploring ways of more sustainable practices of living is the first of its kind in Hong Kong. The Garden Gathering women’s retreat is a place for all, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, disability or body size. It brings together like-minded women and those who are curious to practice new ways of living that are aligned to be in harmony with the Earth.
Get connected
The Garden takes place on October 13th–15th on the brand-new Sai Yuen Farm on Hong Kong’s charming fisherman village of Cheung Chau. This three-day event celebrates connection to nature, lineage, culture and ancestry of Eastern traditions passed on through the generations.
Sai Yuen Farm is ideal for people both accustomed to camping and first-time adventurers. Glamping accommodation is available onsite, inclusive of hard-wooden floors and beds set-up with mattresses and linens. There’s even air conditioning!
The Gathering will be open to both women and children, and dozens of ‘Gardeners’ will share their classes throughout Saturday and Sunday. Morning meditation and yoga, nutritious meals and a range of offerings from international healers, heart-centred practitioners, permaculture gardeners, body workers and local artisans will nourish, teach and guide. Evenings will be shared around a bonfire while sharing songs of past cultures under the Moon.
